Job summary

Copeland is seeking an Experienced Project Engineer onsite in Sidney, OH to lead development and commercialization of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies. You will plan, execute, and interpret development testing, evaluate performance, reliability and manufacturability, and provide technical recommendations across cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with manufacturing and global teams, apply Lean principles, and drive product readiness from concept to production, ensuring customer value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts supporting development of advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
• Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Analyze engineering data and provide technical recommendations to support product decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype and production builds.
• Provide technical guidance across cross-functional product development teams.
• Develop and improve engineering analysis tools and methodologies.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Apply Lean principles and risk mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
• Support product commercialization and production readiness activities.
