Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Senior Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects. You will provide oversight for the design team and support EPC proposals, leveraging a strong civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering background with extensive experience in high voltage substations or transmission line projects.

The role involves leading multi-disciplinary efforts, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance and safe execution

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing detailed engineering for high voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required (B.S. or graduate).
• P.E. license required and essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Provide an oversight role for the design team and support EPC proposals.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and regulators to ensure successful project delivery and compliance.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work.
