Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major multiyear I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. This role requires heavy civil highway and bridge experience and offers a clear path to Project Manager for locals or those willing to relocate.

You’ll lead the engineering side, manage submittals, RFIs, schedules in Primavera P6, and coordinate with DOT inspectors, designers, and subcontractors on a multi-year program that includes significant bridge work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
