Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major I-95 widening initiative in the Savannah, GA area. You’ll lead the engineering side, managing submittals, RFIs, takeoffs, cost reports, and schedules with Primavera P6 alongside field teams and inspectors.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil highway or bridge projects, a Civil Engineering or related degree, and readiness to relocate for a multiyear program. Strong DOT and bridge experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Bridge experience is a plus; DOT experience is a plus; EIT or PE is a plus.
• Based in the Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real-time field insights on bridge and roadway work.
