Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Project Engineer to join a nationally established construction team on major commercial and industrial builds in California. You will assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and cost tracking under seasoned Project Managers.

Candidates should have 3+ years of commercial experience on $20–25M projects, with strong communication and problem-solving skills; travel to Stockton/Tracy area is expected; a Bachelor's in Construction

Qualifications

Three or more years of experience as a Project Engineer with a General Contractor.
Commercial construction experience on projects typically $20–25M in value.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders and keep project documentation current.
Prepare and maintain meeting agendas, minutes, and construction drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor procurement tracking to align with schedules and project demands.
Support QA/QC by verifying installed materials against submittals and maintaining documentation.
Assist the PM in monitoring job costs, subcontract agreements, and CPM schedule adherence.
Coordinate with subcontractors by providing up-to-date drawings and ensuring signed agreements are returned.
