Jobot is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our Sacramento, CA team. You will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in scheduling, cost control, submittals, RFIs, and safety, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and schedule.

The role requires 3–5 years in commercial construction, with proficiency in Procore and MS Project, and strong leadership and communication skills. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is desired, but not required. Working experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Commercial Construction Industry in Project Engineer/Project Management.
• Experience with construction project management software (Procore desired).
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in scheduling, cost control, expediting, quantity take-offs, estimates, pricing and safety.
• Prepare Submittal logs and RFIs, focusing on outstanding submittals and unanswered RFIs.
• Review subcontractor submittals for conformance with specifications and contracts; coordinate with Architect/design team for approvals.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs to design consultants, owners, and subcontractors.
• Review Change Order requests from subcontractors for validity and accuracy.
• Prepare Construction Schedule using Microsoft Project and prepare estimates for extra work or change orders.
• Prepare material take-off, requisitions and purchase orders.
• Oversee daily job logs and As-Built records; gather closeout documentation.
• Expedite material deliveries and monitor quality control; report to PM and superintendent.
