Job summary

RNInk is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support a major transportation and mass transit infrastructure project in the Los Angeles area. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership team, owning project controls, cost tracking, change management, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience on large-scale heavy civil, rail, transit, or infrastructure projects, with familiarity in electrical scopes, traffic systems, and street lighting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/ electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specs, and project documentation.
• Experience with project cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in delivering large transportation/infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and project requirements; interpret implications.
• Track and process Change Proposals, Change Orders, and Owner Pay Applications.
• Assist with scope changes and documentation for compensation and schedule impacts.
• Monitor costs and generate cost/production reports; assist with forecasting.
• Coordinate with field operations, procurement, and subcontractors; manage RFIs and submittals.
• Maintain project records, ensure documentation is current, and support project closeout.
