Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction) in the Santa Barbara/Santa Maria area to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for large infrastructure projects. The role focuses on delivering quality work on time and within budget while coordinating with clients and project teams.

You will lead project staff, maintain schedules, and apply construction methods with proficiency in AGTEK Take-off, Primavera, and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office; AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
• Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure standards are met.
