Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks Senior Project Engineer/Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and infrastructure work in the Atlanta area. You will run the engineering side on highway, bridge and DOT projects, coordinating with owners, inspectors and design teams.

Designated Senior PE candidates will mentor field engineers, manage submittals, cost reports and schedules, and drive change orders in the field to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects (5+ years for Senior PE).
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• GDOT or state DOT experience is a plus.
• Based in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE).
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field.
