RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and bridge projects in the Atlanta area. You will lead engineering scope on DOT-driven work, coordinating with owners, inspectors, and design teams to deliver on schedule and budget.

The role offers a clear path from Project Engineer to Senior PE, with ownership of submittals, cost reporting, scheduling, and field coordination on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects (5+ years for Senior PE).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus.
• Bridge experience is a plus.
• EIT or PE is a plus.
• Based in the Atlanta area or ready to relocate.

Responsabilités

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE)
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field
