Connectly Recruiting seeks a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for heavy civil highway, bridge and infrastructure work in the Atlanta area. You’ll run the engineering scope on highway projects, coordinate with DOT inspectors and design engineers, and lead field teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role offers a clear path from Engineer to Senior PE to Project Manager, plus a company vehicle, bonus opportunity, 401(k) with company match, full benefits, and ongoing education

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports, and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus; bridge experience is a plus; EIT or PE is a plus.
• Based in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate.

Responsabilités

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field.
