Job summary

A Senior Project Engineer position at AIRGAS INC AND SUBSIDIARIES offers flexible U.S. location with 30–40% travel. You will lead end‑to‑end design and delivery of capital projects (<$30M) from FEED through handover, ensuring safety, cost control, and schedule adherence.

You will provide independent technical support across the AMG portfolio, coordinating with multi‑discipline teams and external engineering firms.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in continuous process plant design/capital projects; industrial gas or petrochemical exposure preferred.
• Owner's Rep experience with external EPCm contractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed safety-by-design concepts across all engineering lifecycle stages and enforce project safety protocols.
• Lead FEED packages, SoW development, and technical reviews with stakeholders.
• Oversee design governance, DA/SME coordination, and RCOs with contractors.
