Job summary

Midwest Projects is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive the delivery of complex data center construction across the Midwest. You will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors and design teams to plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale installations of critical MEP systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, with experience in large-scale projects and proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination, ideally in large-scale projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale data center construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, document control, and project schedules.
• Assist with procurement, equipment tracking, material deliveries, and supply chain coordination.
• Support the delivery and installation of critical MEP systems and equipment packages.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and help drive solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Travel to project sites across the Midwest as required.

I’m working with a leading general contractor expanding its data center division, with a strong pipeline of mission critical projects across the Midwest.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex data center projects, working alongside experienced construction professionals within a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale data center construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, document control, and project schedules.
• Assist with procurement, equipment tracking, material deliveries, and supply chain coordination.
• Support the delivery and installation of critical MEP systems and equipment packages.

• Understanding of construction logistics, procurement, and supply chain processes.
