Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is sourcing a Senior Project Engineer to lead coordination of large-scale data center construction in the Midwest. The role involves working with project managers, superintendents, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of complex facilities.

You will oversee RFIs, submittals, schedules, and procurement activities, while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale data center construction projects.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Travel to project sites across the Midwest as required.

I’m working with a leading general contractor expanding its data center division, with a strong pipeline of mission critical projects across the Midwest.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex data center projects, working alongside experienced construction professionals within a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale data center construction projects.

• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.

• Manage RFIs, submittals, document control, and project schedules.

• Assist with procurement, equipment tracking, material deliveries, and supply chain coordination.

• Support the delivery and installation of critical MEP systems and equipment packages.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and help drive solutions to keep projects on schedule.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination, ideally within large-scale or complex construction projects.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Data center, mission-critical, industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial construction.

• Exposure to MEP coordination, critical infrastructure, or equipment procurement.

• Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Primavera P6, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of construction logistics, procurement, and supply chain processes.
