Job summary

KLA Industries in Milwaukee is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to drive a project from concept to completion, integrating customer specifications, cycle times, pneumatics, hydraulics, and controls into a robust automated system.

You will lead design engineers and outside contractors on large efforts, manage resources, and ensure timely design releases while keeping customers and management updated on progress.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree required.
• 5+ years of project design experience for custom automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical design skills and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, or controls is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for a client.
• Lead design engineers and external contractors on large projects.
• Break down design into tasks, manage time, milestones, and resources.
• Regularly communicate project status to customers and management.
