Job summary

Sora Resource Group seeks a Sr. Project Engineer for a Milwaukee client to drive a custom automated production machine from concept to completion.

Lead design teams, manage tasks and milestones, and ensure design integrity across robotics, vision, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls. The ideal candidate has a BSME or equivalent, 5+ years of experience with customized equipment, SolidWorks expertise, and strong communication with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree required.
• 5+ years of project design experience with fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency required.
• Experience with welding and fixture design and GD&T preferred.
• Experience with robotics/vision systems and data acquisition desirable.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall design of custom automated equipment from concept to completion.
• Lead design engineers and external contractors on larger projects; manage resources and timelines.
• Break down design efforts into tasks and communicate milestones and status to team and customers.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, and high-speed assembly in designs.
