Job summary

Encore Technologies in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for Automated Custom Machinery to lead the mechanical design for machine build projects, under the direction of the project manager, and protect design integrity and profitability.

You will coordinate with PMs, manage design schedules, specify hydraulic/pneumatic components, and ensure timely design releases while interfacing with customers and suppliers to meet cycle times and costs.

Qualifications

• A four year technical degree (BSME) or equivalent is required.
• Five to ten years of direct custom machine design/build experience will be considered.
• Two to five years of direct manufacturing engineering and/or machine design, build, implementation, startup automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain project design hours and delivery milestones for each project.
• Assist the PM in design concept reviews with customer specs.
• Coordinate with project team to allocate mechanical designers and manage tasks.
• Apply hydraulic and pneumatic design practices to meet requirements.
• Oversee outside design houses when needed; ensure scope and budget adherence.
• Regularly report status, challenges, and customer requirements to PM/Engineering Manager.
