Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced project-level manager to supervise engineering and administrative functions, ensuring accurate transfer of information to field operations and compliance with contract documents.

You will lead and develop engineering staff, enforce safety and quality standards, manage preconstruction budgets, and coordinate with design professionals, owners and subcontractors to deliver GMPs, schedules and successful project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of eight years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and engineering principles and techniques, various building systems.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of contract documents and standards.
• Lead and develop engineering staff, including performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance at all times.
• Manage information flow among project team members and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design professionals, owners and subcontractors for information flow and approvals.
• Develop GMPs or initial budgets in collaboration with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing.
• Conduct constructability reviews and QA/QC of documents.
• Assist in material, method studies and cost estimates.
• Prepare a detailed contract items list and bid package scope.
• Create procurement schedules for subcontractors and major purchases.
• Oversee project financial status and reporting.
• Schedule and document all project meetings and coordination sessions.
• Manage change orders and subcontract close-out processes.
• Oversee project close-out, warranties and final payments.
