Job summary

DPR Construction in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Project Engineer to facilitate the successful delivery of construction projects by applying technical expertise and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet schedules and quality standards. You will review drawings, support project controls, manage safety, mentor junior staff, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

A Bachelor's degree and 4–6 years in construction engineering are expected; OSHA 30 is preferred and may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4–6 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred, completion within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review moderately complex technical aspects of construction projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Maintain field presence to support safe execution of work and participate in safety meetings.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical challenges.
• Support the implementation of project controls, including schedule tracking and cost monitoring.
• Prepare and present progress reports and technical documentation for stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks on projects through field analysis and engineering solutions.
• Support less experienced team members in resolving project issues and provide technical safety and quality guidance.
