Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Omaha is seeking a Project Engineer to manage and supervise engineering and administrative functions at the project level. You will coordinate with field operations to ensure information is delivered, understood, and implemented, reporting to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, on-site supervision, and deep knowledge of construction documents, cost control, and BIM-enabled processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, cost control, estimating, scheduling, purchasing.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office; BIM and Lean knowledge.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications; strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of contract documents and project plans.
• Lead and develop Turner engineering staff and conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance on site.
• Manage information flow among project team and stakeholders.
• Oversee GMP/preconstruction budgeting and procurement planning.
• Manage subcontract change orders and project close-out.
