Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Augusta, GA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering and administrative functions on a major project. You will coordinate with field operations, manage information flow, and ensure project goals align with contract documents and budgets.

You will supervise engineering staff, support GMP/budget development, perform QA/QC, and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery across the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum eight years' related experience, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office; BIM/Lean experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of contract documents, plans, specs and codes.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner engineering staff and provide input on performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance are maintained at all times.
• Oversee information transfer and communications among project team members.
• Coordinate with design professionals, owner and subcontractors for information flow and approvals.
• Assist in GMP/budget development and preconstruction efforts related to project engineering.
• Conduct contract document reviews for constructability and QA/QC, and resolve issues with design professionals.
• Prepare procurement schedules and trade scope documents for bids.
• Manage change orders, including review, negotiation and owner approvals.
• Oversee project close-out, warranties, final payments and records retention.
