Job summary

Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials in the United States seeks a Project Engineer to support capital projects at a chemical facility. You will oversee engineering and procurement activities, ensure contractor deliverables meet project specs, and drive construction through commissioning and start-up.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or chemical engineering, 7+ years of capital project experience in chemical plants, and strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs and procurement processes. Based in St.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
• English language proficiency
• Experience with and understanding of engineering documents for chemical plants

Responsibilities

• Support engineering manager to monitor performance across cost, schedule, quality and planning.
• Coordinate PFD, P&ID, HAZOP and 3D Model reviews, and prepare summaries and work plans.
• Develop equipment specifications, bids, vendor selection and document reviews.
• Monitor progress against cost, schedule and quality baselines.
• Ensure work complies with project standards, codes and industry practices.
• Coordinate with plant personnel for tie-ins and commissioning activities.
• Participate in field reviews, audits and start-up planning.
