Job summary

Worley in Long Beach, CA seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate engineering execution across scope, schedule, cost, and safety for assigned projects. The role bridges the technical and execution gap between the Project Manager and engineering disciplines, often acting as an Assistant Project Manager with strong engineering foundations.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and ensure engineering work is planned, executed, and delivered in accordance with contracts, operating facility

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 8+ years in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, and construction.
• Experience in EPC project delivery and interfacing with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety for assigned projects.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide day-to-day technical leadership.
• Review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with Basis of Design.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans.
• Support construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
