Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership for mechanical activities across Brownfield and Greenfield projects within the Chemicals and Power business lines.

This role serves as the Mechanical Discipline Lead on projects of varying size and complexity, guiding engineering teams through all phases of project execution while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience on chemical, industrial, or power projects.
• Lead mechanical engineering role on capital projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities from concept through detailed design and commissioning.
• Serve as Mechanical Discipline Lead and ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate and oversee engineers and designers, providing technical direction.
• Review equipment specifications, calculations, data sheets, and vendor documentation.
