Job summary

CLMI Group is seeking a Project Engineer III to support PMO Construction and District Facilities, Planning, and Development on Bond-funded projects in the Los Angeles area. The role requires coordinating RFIs, submittals, and Change Orders with owner, design, and construction teams while maintaining logs and reports.

Ideal candidates will have extensive construction experience, a BS/BA in a related field, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe tools.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional construction experience in a similar role.
• BS/BA degree in construction, engineering, or architecture; four extra years may substitute for education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and SharePoint.
• Experience using Bluebeam and Adobe software for document reviews/mark-ups.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
• Ability to effectively manage daily work effort.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support for PMO Construction and District FPD on Bond-funded projects.
• Track RFIs and submittals with owner, design team, and construction team.
• Review COs, FOs, and other documents for Districtwide projects.
• Coordinate with PMO and District FPD on Change Orders.
• Review Change Order documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in coordination meetings to facilitate timely reviews.
• Maintain Change Order logs and tracking documents.
• Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
• Collect and review lessons learned for closeout.
• Monitor changes to ensure timely CO/FO processing.
• Submit COs/FOs for PMO and District approval.
• Follow SOPs for CO processing.
• Facilitate resolution of conflicts to maintain workflow.
• Generate meeting minutes and distribute them.
• Maintain electronic files for all reviews.
• Contribute to other related duties as assigned.
