Base pay range

$63.00/hr - $81.00/hr

Must Haves:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE License)
8+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the energy sector
3+ years of experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS)
Knowledge of substation design and upgrade processes
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (up to 25% travel)

Pluses:

Experience with electrical systems and components.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to substation upgrades.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to join one of our large energy infrastructure clients. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience within project engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with an electrical background. The Engineer will heavily be involved with battery energy storage systems projects. This role involves supporting the planning, execution, and completion of substation projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and design of substation upgrade projects.
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and monitor project progress.
Prepare technical documentation, including project plans, reports, and specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Support the implementation of safety protocols and quality control measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
