Job summary

AQUALIS, a nationwide leader in water resource management, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead sustainable stormwater projects from concept to construction. You’ll guide budgets, schedules, and client communications while mentoring junior engineers.

The role centers on drainage, hydraulic analysis, and green infrastructure within post-construction systems. Ideal candidates bring a PE license, 5+ years of project management and design experience, and strong skills in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and PE license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of project management and design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and budgets.
  • 5+ years of drainage and water resources knowledge including hydraulic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of projects from concept design to construction administration.
  • Develop and manage budgets for projects, including change orders.
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers throughout projects.
  • Assist in proposal development with scope and fee preparation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with regular updates.
  • Participate in team activities including mentoring and meetings.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage all aspects of projects from concept design to construction administration.
  • Develop and manage budgets for projects, including identifying the need for and developing change orders
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers throughout the duration of a project.
  • Assist in proposal development with scope and fee preparation.
  • Provide excellent customer service with frequent communication and project updates.
  • Participate in team activities including cross-training, staff meetings, brainstorming roundtables, and mentoring.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Current and active Professional Engineering license; must be in good standing. 5+ years of Project management and design experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills are imperative to assist with ensuring schedule and budget needs are adhered to throughout various projects.
  • 5+ relevant working experience and knowledge of drainage systems, water quality and stormwater control devices, hydraulic analysis, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD,FDM design standards, DOT PS&E (Plan, Specifications & Estimates), site and roadway design, and project quality processes.
