Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to lead project management activities from planning through execution on diverse construction initiatives, including data centers and mission-critical facilities.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in RFIs, contract submittals, reading construction drawings, cost control, and at least a Bachelor’s in CM or CE; experience in semiconductor/cleanroom environments is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • 3+ years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • 2+ years preparing subcontract scopes and contracts.
  • 2+ years experience with project close out.
  • 2+ years experience supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, microchip manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or other mission-critical facility construction projects.
  • 1+ years working with cost control systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 3 years prior relevant experience.

The Senior Project Engineer works within the Project Management Team which is responsible for planning and overseeing the project to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the project. Ensure the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Senior Project Engineer will be involved in.

Senior Project Engineer Required Qualifications:
