Job summary

Renewyx is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Austin, TX to lead full project lifecycle delivery in a demanding commercial setting. You will drive safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives while managing owner relationships and coordinating with a senior leadership team.

With 5+ years in commercial construction, you’ll apply financial acumen to cost tracking, change orders, and subcontractor payments, and use Primavera P6 or Viewpoint to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineer experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Proven ability to lead full project lifecycle delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong financial acumen including job cost analysis, change orders, and claims management.
• Proactive identification and resolution of scope changes and project risks.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software; Viewpoint or comparable PM platform.

Responsibilities

Senior Project Engineer- $130,000-$150,000 + Benefits - Austin, Texas

Renewyx have partnered with a respected general contractor to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for their Austin, TX office.

This contractor has a strong presence in the Texas market, a consistent pipeline of demanding commercial projects, and a senior leadership structure that gives experienced PEs the support and authority to deliver at the highest level.

The Senior Project Engineer holds full accountability for the planning, organisation, and control of all project resources. Working closely with the Senior VP and Senior PM, you will set and maintain safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives, supervise a skilled operations team, and manage owner relationships from preconstruction through to project closeout. Financial accountability — job cost analysis, change order management, subcontractor pay applications, and claims resolution — sits firmly with you.

• 5+ years of project engineer experience in the commercial construction industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead full project lifecycle delivery, from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong financial acumen — job margin analysis, change orders, subcontractor pay applications, and claims management
• Proactive identification and resolution of scope changes and project risks

• Proven track record managing owner, architect, and subcontractor relationships at a senior level
