Job summary

Domtar Ashdown, a leading fluff pulp producer, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to deliver site-level capital projects, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives in a 580-employee mill setting. You will apply proven engineering practices, project management methods, and collaborate across functions to drive front-end loading packages and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of applicable experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Front-End-Loading project methodology; proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP and Microsoft Project; PE and/or PMP designation preferred.
• Mill Weekend Duty Rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver capital projects, process improvements, product upgrades and cost savings at the site level.

Overview

Senior Project Engineer - Your primary focus will be to deliver projects including process improvements, product upgrades, and cost savings opportunities at the site level. Delivery of projects will be driven by applying proven engineering practices, project management methodologies, and the ability to build partnerships and influence cross functionality. You will be involved in the development of Front-End Loading Project Packages, schedules, cost estimates and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of applicable experience, prefer delivering capital or process improvement projects in industrial/manufacturing environment
• Front-End-Loading project methodology, proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, Microsoft Project; PE and/or PMP designation is preferred
• Mill Weekend Duty Rotation required
