Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Owner’s Representative, Project Director to lead design and construction for multiple projects in the United States. Projects range from conceptual planning through occupancy with budgets from millions to $300M.

You will oversee 25–50 project team members, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, and work with senior leadership to ensure project success across renovations and new builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Business, or equivalent degree.
• 10 years’ experience managing projects and leading project teams.
• Understanding of contracts (negotiations, language, and requirements)
• Demonstrated ability to lead project team
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
• Strong computer skills and literacy in scheduling, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of multiple projects valued at $25m-$300m, including renovations and new builds.
• Directly managing activities of up to 25-50 project team members.
• Foster a diverse collaborative culture and manage conflicting priorities and business interests.
• Motivate and inspire others and instill confidence in clients and potential clients.
• Interact with clients as project leader and define pace, progression, and culture of project team.
• Present budgets, schedules, and events to clients and maintain project progression and client concurrence.
• Monitor profitability and fee utilization against contract value.
• Review design for adherence to client expectations and budgetary constraints.
• Monitor construction to ensure client objectives are met.
• Take ownership and maintain full accountability for project success.
• Review and approve client invoices and project payments.
