Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Development Senior Project Manager to join our Michigan-based Power Generation team. You will lead a multi-discipline group, cultivate client relationships, develop strategy, and plan for performance across simple to complex power and energy projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years PM experience, PE license, and strong communication skills. This on-site role demands leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Strong client relationship and business development skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
• Coordinate project team and client communications to align work plans and deliverables.
• Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule. Develop appropriate recovery plans in the event of shortfalls.
• Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
• Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues.
• Perform design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise.
• Routinely report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations team.
• All other duties as assigned
