Job summary

TAR in Austin, TX is seeking a senior Project Developer to own behind-the-meter utility-scale solar and storage projects from site control through notice to proceed, coordinating land research, diligence, permitting, and preliminary design with TAR’s in-house engineers.

You will lead permitting end-to-end with AHJs (including TCEQ, FAA, USACE), run title work and zoning resolution, and manage landowner relationships to keep projects moving.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing utility-scale solar and storage projects, with Texas exposure.
• Full ownership of permitting from site control to NTP.
• Experience with land title work and zoning challenges.
• Understanding of project finance constraints and cost drivers.
• Experience navigating ERCOT interconnection processes.
• Strong relationships with landowners and local officials.

Responsibilities

• Lead development from site control through NTP for solar/storage.
• Own permitting strategy and present to AHJs.
• Conduct land research, title work, and site diligence.
• Manage landowner and local official relationships.
• Coordinate environmental studies and consultants to mitigate risk.
• Coordinate preliminary design with in-house engineers.
• Support project financing and due diligence.
• Initiate interconnection queue submission and manage process.
