Job summary

Torch Clean Energy in Boulder, CO seeks a highly motivated Project Developer to manage multiple utility-scale solar, storage, and transmission projects from late development through initial operation. You will lead development efforts, coordinate with landowners, permitting staff, and consultants, and drive project schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in utility-scale renewables, strong leadership, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or project management field.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities; attention to detail and multitasking.
• Ability to travel 25%.
• Fast-moving team environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of utility-scale solar projects from site origination through NTP and operation.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets from inception through financing.
• Secure and manage land control agreements with landowners and ensure viability.
• Direct consultants for land use entitlements, environmental permits, and interconnection agreements.
• Oversee permit-related outreach with public officials and AHJs; maintain ongoing communications.
