Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Design Lead to guide the design of utility-scale solar projects, overseeing EORs and design partners to ensure quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in design leadership or project engineering.
• Experience with utility-scale solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design processes for utility-scale solar PV projects from preliminary design through IFC drawings.
• Manage Engineers of Record, consultants, and third-party design partners to ensure quality and schedule.
• Coordinate communication between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Review designs and coordinates feedback from SMEs, clients, and stakeholders; track and resolve comments.
• Ensure designs comply with client requirements, safety standards, and codes; manage RFIs and submittals.
