Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Project Controls II Cost Specialist in Texas to support project teams with cost management and analysis. You will develop budgets, forecast costs, perform variance analysis, and prepare regular cost reports to stakeholders and management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of cost control experience in construction or energy sectors, with strong ERP and Excel skills. Join a dynamic, safety-focused team on major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of project cost control experience in construction/energy.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycle and construction execution.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Primavera P6).
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Perform cost forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management.
• Prepare and present cost reports including budget vs. actuals and forecasts.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in development of cost control procedures and best practices.
• Review and process invoices with proper coding and terms.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and accounting on cost data.
• Participate in project reviews and audits with cost insights.
• Maintain organized project cost documentation.
