Job summary

Donlin Gold LLC is seeking an experienced Project Cost Accountant to support financial and cost-control activities for the Donlin Gold Project. You will link accounting records with project cost-control systems to ensure costs, accruals, forecasts, and expenditures are accurately tracked.

Working with Project Controls, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering, you will help provide financial visibility for cost management and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or project cost-control experience.
• Experience with large capital projects, EPC/EPCM environments preferred.
• CPA/CMA or other certification preferred.
• Ability to work with contracts, purchase orders, accruals, forecasts, and cost reporting.
• Strong Excel and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate project cost records and code expenditures to project accounts, WBS/CBS elements, contracts, POs, and GL.
• Review project invoices for proper coding, supporting documentation, and contractual alignment.
• Reconcile cost-control records to the GL and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor expenditures against budgets, forecasts, commitments, and funding availability.
• Prepare monthly project accruals and validate outstanding financial obligations with project teams.
• Monitor contracts, POs, commitments, invoices, and remaining values to support forecasting.
• Assist with EAC/ETC, cash-flow forecasting, and monthly cost reporting.
• Support cost reporting, change orders, and variance analyses for leadership.
