Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while ensuring integration of risk reserves into forecasts.

The role requires close collaboration with project teams and management, adherence to safety protocols, and strong experience with EVMS, budgeting, and scheduling in large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of project controls experience.
• Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and cost/schedule control.
• Experience with construction projects and international portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time-phased cost and resource forecasts; monitor expenditures versus forecasts.
• Prepare client and internal status reports communicating cost status and trends.
• Conduct variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses for project portfolios.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff; mentor teammates.
