Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across diverse locations in the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect and analyze monthly data, identify variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while maintaining risk reserves in forecasts.

You will collaborate with project teams and management, ensuring compliance with procedures and delivering accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related project controls experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government regulations; updates project data and monitors progress.
• Manages Project Managers' portfolios and projects on an international scale.
• Develops and maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects; identifies early warning signals.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with project managers.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documentation.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise engineers on project work.
• Performs other duties as required.
