Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Project Controls Scheduler in Chicago to lead scheduling across all project phases. You will own CPM schedules, perform critical path analysis, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure program alignment.

The role requires 5+ years in project controls, strong Primavera P6 and Excel skills, and experience with EVM and change control in a fast-paced environment. PMP/PSP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute some years of experience.
• 5+ years experience in project controls, scheduling, or construction project support.
• Strong experience with Primavera P6.
• Proven experience developing and managing CPM schedules, including critical path analysis and network schedule development.
• Experience with earned value management (EVM), schedule performance assessment, and reporting.
• Experience with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and resource-loaded scheduling.
• Experience supporting cost-schedule integration and change control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project controls tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PSP are a plus.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced scheduling and project controls support across all phases of a project, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Develops and maintains project schedules, supports forecasting efforts, performs schedule analysis, and prepares reports to support project decision-making.
• Owns project schedules, conducts critical path analysis, earned value performance tracking, and coordinates with stakeholders to align with program goals.
• Supports cost tracking and forecasting efforts in coordination with project teams.
• Prepares variance analyses and provides insights into project performance trends.
• Conducts Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and supports schedule change control processes.
• Develops and delivers schedule reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
