Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead planning, scheduling, and cost control for heavy industrial projects. You’ll forecast construction activities, monitor costs, and update schedules with field input.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of related experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and preferred AACE/PMI certification. Strong detail orientation and communication skills are essential for coordinating with engineering teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• AACE International or PMI certification preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop construction cost estimates and detailed engineering schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities.
• Monitor and maintain project costs, reconciling commitments and invoices.
• Update schedules through meetings, field verification, and coordination interviews.
• Assist in change notice/change order management and hearings.
• Develop estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and contractors to ensure schedule and cost alignment.
