Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project Controller to lead scheduling, cost control, and project management activities across multiple locations. You will supervise project controls staff, develop cost and schedule reporting, and drive continuous improvement in controls processes.

The role requires extensive experience in project controls, strong communication, and proficiency with industry software. Travel to project sites is required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or architecture preferred.
• Ten (10) years direct working experience in Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, and other Project Management related activities.
• Twenty (20) years direct working experience in this field in lieu of degree.
• Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
• Demonstrates good organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in prevailing project controls software required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities and review the work of project controls staff.
• Create and maintain routine and special reports reflecting cost and/or schedule status for complex projects.
• Assist manager in developing standards and systems for the project controls group.
• Develop databases and spreadsheets for monitoring project cost, schedule, and procurement reports.
• Reconcile project cost estimates with capital accounting reports.
• Interpret reports and communicate cost/schedule variations to personnel.
• Analyze scheduling information to improve schedule adherence and manpower planning.
• Meet with management to set up scheduling and cost tracking databases/reports.
• Review and finalize project costs, budgets, and schedules with management.
