Job summary

SSOE Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls professional to lead scheduling, estimating, cost control and related project management activities on complex programs. You will monitor budgets, develop dashboards, and mentor staff while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include creating routine and special reports, refining controls processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, engineering or architecture preferred.
• 10 years in Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control or related PM activities.
• 20 years in the field acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• CCE, CAPM or PMP certifications preferred.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with prevailing project controls software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of project controls staff.
• Create and maintain reports reflecting cost and schedule status for complex projects.
• Assist in developing standards and systems for the project controls group.
• Develop databases and spreadsheets for monitoring project cost, schedule, and procurement reports.
• Reconcile project cost estimates with capital accounting reports.
• Interpret reports and communicate cost and schedule variations.
• Analyze scheduling information to improve adherence and manpower planning.
• Meet with management to set up scheduling and cost tracking databases and reports.
• Attend meetings to report cost and schedule status.
• Train staff on project controls databases, reports and software.
