Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Project Controls professional in Toledo, OH to lead cost control, scheduling, and estimating activities for complex projects. You will supervise project controls staff, develop reporting systems, and partner with managers to improve cost accuracy and scheduling discipline.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or 20 years of equivalent experience), 10 years in project controls, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, engineering or architecture.
• 10 years direct working experience in Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control and related project management activities.
• 20 years direct experience in this field may substitute for a degree.
• Certification in Cost/EPM frameworks (CCE, CAPM, PMP) preferred.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in prevailing project controls software required.

Responsibilities

• May supervise the activities and review the work of project controls staff.
• Create and maintain routine and special reports reflecting cost and/or schedule status for complex projects.
• Assist manager in development of standards and systems for the project controls group.
• Develop databases and spreadsheets for monitoring project cost, schedule and procurement reports.
• Reconcile project cost estimates with capital accounting reports.
• Interpret reports and communicate variations in cost and schedules to stakeholders.
• Analyze scheduling information to improve schedule adherence and manpower balance.
• Meet with management to set up project scheduling and cost tracking databases and reports.
• Attend project meetings to report cost and schedule status.
• Train staff on project controls databases, reports, spreadsheets and software.
