Job summary

TYLin International is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) for a major Community College capital improvement project in Los Angeles. The role is on-site with occasional site visits, and this posting collects expressions of interest for upcoming opportunities in the next 3–6 months.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years of scheduling experience, familiarity with Primavera P6, and PMI/AACEI certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of construction project scheduling experience or equivalent.
• Experience supporting educational, institutional, or public-sector capital projects is preferred.
• Understanding of construction scheduling processes preferred.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 preferred.
• PMI or AACEI certifications preferable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs required.
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in logistical, delivery, and workforce planning with project personnel, and incorporate into a CPM schedule using Primavera P6 Software.
• Review and provide comments on contractor-prepared baseline, update, and recovery schedules using Primavera P6 Software.
• Attend project progress and schedule meetings.
• Accurately track contractor work progress related to schedule.
• Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Coordinate with campus stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to support successful delivery of capital improvement projects.
• Identify improvements for schedule procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager.
