Job summary

Pembrooke & Ives in New York City is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager with hybrid work flexibility. You will own budget, schedule, staffing forecasts, and profitability tracking, and you will manage change orders while partnering with Directors and the COO/EVP on contracts and resourcing.

Role Description

The Senior Project Controls Manager is a full-time position based in New York City, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for enforcing contract terms and compliance across our projects and maintain a high-level view of staffing capacity and utilization firm-wide. This role owns budget, schedule, and staffing forecasts — tracking profitability, managing change orders, and partnering with Directors and the COO/EVP on contracts and resourcing. Ideal candidates bring 3-5+ years in project accounting, project controls, or project management within AEC, interior design, or construction environment, including 2–3 years owning both budget and schedule for complex, multi-phase projects.

Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction management processes.
• Experience implementing project management systems.
• Experience building and maintaining budget, staffing plans, schedules, and contract evaluation across concurrent projects and a pipeline of upcoming projects.
• Strong financial and data analytical skills and has a track-record of building forecasting or reporting infrastructure.
• Ability to make decisions with Directors and project leads, using historical data as a reference, not a driver.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience with Project Management software, Excel, CRM, AI, Zoho, and Ajera. Studio Designer a plus.

Salary Range

$90,000.00 - $130,000.00+ (depending on experience) + Performance-Based Bonus
