Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root cause analysis to keep projects on schedule.

You will collaborate with project teams on risk, forecasting, and financial controls, ensuring accurate progress and reporting for stakeholders. A strong emphasis on EVMS and complex scheduling is essential, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements as needed.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs Earned Value Management and related reporting for project portfolios or programs.
• Documents and assesses impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
