Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in the United States seeks a Senior Manager, Project Controls, Mechanical Estimator to lead cost management on complex projects, focusing on mechanical trades and division 21, 22, and 23. You will partner with senior PMs, clients, and stakeholders to drive strategic cost plans from early lifecycle stages to closeout.

The role requires extensive experience in cost controls, earned value, and risk assessments, with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 8+ years of cost management experience on capital projects including design and construction.
• Mechanical estimating experience and ability to interpret complex drawings.
• Direct experience in a matrixed, complex environment.
• Expertise using Excel.
• Experience with data centers and life sciences preferred.
• Construction industry experience required; life sciences exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish the cost management program and deliverables for large-scale capital programs.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and studies for mechanical scope.
• Evaluate labor productivity using appropriate resources.
• Integrate all third plans and cost components into an integrated cost plan.
• Provide detailed cost risk analysis to project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Drive accruals and forecasts with monthly/biweekly updates as required.
• Support risk management and quantitative risk assessments.
• Develop and lead the earned value component of complex programs.
• Support development of cost management and project execution plans.
• Review invoices from subcontractors and third parties.
• Assist with RFPs, RFQs and contract negotiations.
• Drive development of project estimates and value engineering.
