Job summary

Motive Power, Inc. seeks a Project Controls Manager to lead the controls team across the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with project managers to set baselines, develop integrated schedules, and manage change control and risk assessments, delivering performance reports to key stakeholders.

You will implement controls standards, train and mentor staff, and promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all activities. This role is based in Houston, TX with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project controls and leading controls teams.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the project controls team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with project managers to establish baselines for schedule and scope.
• Implement and enforce project management standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, aligning owner and contractor timelines.
• Monitor and report on project performance, including schedule progress and risks.
• Manage and document changes through a formal change control process.
• Facilitate quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and mitigation actions.
• Conduct project reviews and performance assessments for compliance with controls.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status and performance reports to stakeholders.
• Support training, mentoring, and development of project controls personnel.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all activities.
