Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls, analytics, and reporting for large projects. You will ensure client satisfaction, validate WBS and scheduling integrity, and provide robust reporting and forecasts across multiple projects.

The role requires experience with critical path scheduling, cost management, and Primavera P6, with strong communication and leadership skills. Travel and multidisciplinary collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; 7 years direct project controls experience.
• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface with engineering and procurement activities.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes and consult with project management to ensure client satisfaction.
• Present schedule and budget status reports to project management team and client.
• Validate proper set-up and management of the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Analyze data, logs, and reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
• Validate proper Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is utilized.
• Develop scheduling, cost, cash flow, and forecast reports for multiple projects.
• Develop and manage the reporting data warehouse for program controls reports.
• Lead and train team members to resolve project control issues.
• Develop and implement project execution plans.
• Maintain relationships with clients, customers, and contractors.
• Interface with PM and Accounting to review costs and contingencies.
• Review change orders and analyze cash flow reports.
• Lead Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
• Lead the presentation of Project Controls reporting.
• Validate schedule progress and earned value reporting.
• Perform schedule what-if scenarios and progress analysis.
• Perform field audits to validate reporting accuracy.
• Perform Project Forensic Analysis.
